Stania Ramešová
As early on as a student
at Prague Conservatory (under Prof. Eva Vyskocilová) this young harpist presented
herself at music festivals both at home and abroad (Smetana's Litomyšl, Pardubice
Music Spring, and others).
After graduation from Prague Conservatory she continued in her studies at the
famous Moscow Conservatory of P. I. Tschaikovski under the foremost Russian
harpist, Prof. Olga Erdeli. The five years of studies in Moscow both improved
her harpist proficiency and, above all, deepened her affinity to chamber music.
During the last years of her Moscow studies she created together with Russian
soloist Irina Krapukhina the harpist's duo "Aiolos Harp" whereupon they enjoyed
great success with an extensive concert cycle "Music for the Harp from the XVIIth
Century to the Present Time" including concerts in such places as Moscow, St.
Petersburg and Vladimir. The real peak of this collaboration was their performance
at the Falconer Centre in Copenhagen within the framework of the Fifth International
Harp Congress in June 1993, where they presented music from the Russian composers
V. Kikta, A. Glazunov and P.I.Tschaikovski.
After finishing her studies Stania Ramešová commenced private consultations
with Prof. Patras, Prof. Storck and Prof. Dr. Würtzler.
In autumn 1992 she successfully began collaboration with orchestras in an international
tour with the Kiev Symphonic Orchestra to Italy, Poland and the Ukraine,...
Coming back to Prague she founded the duo "Renaissance" together with violinist
Roman Fedchuk . Duo "Renaissance" gained great popularity with audiences of
music salons and concert halls not only in Prague and other Czech towns, but
also in Genoa, Milano, Ubeda, Orense, Lvov, Moscow and other foreign venues.
Duo "Renaissance" took part with chamber programme (T. Vitali, L. M. Tedeschi
and G. Dinicu) at the 1999 Seventh World Harp Congress in Prague and at the
2002 Eight World Harp Congress in Genewa. And also began collaboration with
the international ensemble of soloists "Concertino". She performed with the
ensemble in Spain in 1997 during a concert tour.
In the same year, she recorded a unique CD with the title "Masters of Romantic"
together with Roman Fedchuk and German soprano Regina Renzowa a soloist of Folksoper
in Vienna, with compositions by world composers of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In June 2001 and in september 2003 she had concert-turne with Roman Fedchuk
and Regina Renzowa in Japan.
Along with performing she makes full use of her knowledge of harp music as a
professor at Brno Conservatory, where she has taught since 1994. One of her
students, Olga Kalvodová, received 2nd prize at the International Competition
U.F.A.M. in Paris.
